If someone would ask us “how can I really learn sailing? Rent a boat by myself for a long time?” then the asnwer is definetely to participate on sailing races on crewed yachts!

There is only one thing you can do during a sailing race; adjust the sails to move your yacht faster. It doesn't matter whether it is too windy or not you only have a pair of sails to arrive at your destination. Then many would reply “Hmm, I do not feel so experienced or I don't know if I will manage through whole the race or how can I feel useful on the yacht. Again the ansswer would be “ it is the only way to learn sailing!”. The power of the start of the race, the trimming of the sails, the selection of the correct jib, strategy nad meteorology are some of the arts someone practices during races. All these have to take place quickly but firstly safely.

We can not hide that our main sailing skills have been acquired through local, national, international and match races, training and study of meteorology. Aboard racing yachts or slower ones (EY), with higly experienced captains or crews, emphasiszed on the details and speed of the yacht, we gathered most of the required skills to participate in sailing races at a high level and share these experiences with you. The best way to do so is to participate in the International Sailing Week of Ionion or in the Ionian Regatta or even in local races in Ionion.

Contact us to arrange and organize your unforgettable sailing race in the Ionian!
