Sailing and gastronomy in the Ionian Sea

In 2019 we introduced our gastronomy trips! A concept and idea that we have been thinking about since 2015 and have tried tried to explore since then. In 2021, we did the first trip and it was a blast! It is now time to have again professional Chef and good friend Andrew onboard to explore the tastes, cuisine and culture of the Ionian Sea onboard a sailing yacht along with a chef.
Enjoy a week trip with a different destination/island every day, freshly prepared meals onboard with local products and also visits to
- Wine production at a vineyard
- Olive oil extraction
- Cheese production
- Local cured meats
- and cooking workshops onboard.
The sailing trip starts from Lefkas on the 5th of June and visits the islands Meganisi, Kastos, Kalamos, Kefalonia and Ithaca before returning to Lefkas. During this trip, we will enjoy also swimming in amazing waters with great visibility, explore secret locations, learn in first hand about Greek and Ionian gastronomy, explore different destinations each day, hiking, local festivals and modern cooking concepts!

Chef: Andrew
Andreas studied business administration but he changed his career path to follow his dream. He loves to cook and make people smile with his food. After 2 summer seasons at 5-star Sheraton Rhodes Hotel he moved to Amsterdam to develop his cooking and challenge himself working in Fine dining-Michelin restaurants and 5 stars hotels. He is coming straight from NOMA in Copenhagen!
Always willing to increase his experiences and taste new palettes.
For him, cooking is an endless book.
The menu
Day 1 Dinner: Fresh tuna steak
Day 2 Lunch: -fresh salad with local Lentils from Lefkas, fresh veggies & spices - spilt peas - roasted carrots with yoghurt
Dinner: Traditional chicken legs with fresh veggies, tomato sauce in the oven (briam) & fresh salad
Day 3 Lunch: -potato salad with tuna, capers and fresh veggies - scramble eggs Greek style with tomato - roasted aubergine salad with tahini
Dinner: Fish soup with rice & lemon - Fish pie & fresh salad
Day 4 Lunch: -pork neck bites with oregano, garlic and mustard (tigania) - homemade tzatziki - chickpeas salad Dinner: Local gastronomy at Kalipso
Day 5 Lunch: -zucchini pancakes with dill and yogurt (kolokithokeftedes) - Greek salad - Cassoulet salad with local sausage, garlic and fresh tomato
Dinner: Stuffed summer veggies (Gemista) & fresh salad
Day 6 Lunch: -roasted cauliflower salad with sun-dried tomatoes, parsley - Greek salad - couscous & fresh pesto Dinner: Aioli potato mash with fried cod & fresh salad
Day 7 : Lunch: -Dakos with tomato, local cheese & oregano - Cheese pie - gazpacho soup
Dinner: Orzo pasta with shrimps & fresh salad
