Fiskardo is the only village in Kefalonia which survived the big earthquake of 1953. Roman baths and ancient graveyards have been discovered here creating an amazing cosmopolitan diamond in the north of Kefalonia. During the Venetian Empire, this little port developed significantly and the 2-floors houses which were built back then remain until now. These beautiful houses, the blue waters and the trees create a magical picture. This village is famous for fresh fish and especial lobster, but traditional Kefalonian cuisine can be found here as well. The nearby beaches Dafnoudi, Foki and Eblisi where olivetrees and cypresses fall on the sea can be reached either hiking or with the yacht whole several options for scuba diving are offered here!
